Spiritual Truths are so Practical.

If you like to save money and energy, then join True Principles. Spiritual truths and practicality are one and the same. Time is money, and understanding higher ideas about time saves one’s energies. This energy can be used in a much better way. So the first order of business for any sincere seeker of truth is to set aside all the ideas and opinions acquired over one’s lifetime. This open space creates a vacuum that can be filled by something presently unknown and higher. Once you observe yourself recreating yourself every day and expecting a different result, seeing this insanity, you rise higher with this realization.

You and I need to become our own experts about our lives and quit believing others know what is best for us. It is this lazy thinking about experts that has kept us so confused. Experts are great for technical solutions, but not for psychological problems. Why not think for ourselves when it comes to psychological matters? What if society has placed many wrong ideas in our minds about what is valuable? It’s hard work to figure things out for oneself, so most choose the easy, lazy way to go through life. “Letting others think for us invites disaster.” -Vernon Howard

Thoreau said this, “I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion.” He said this because he valued his independence dearly. “I want to stand alone and be a conquering Lion not a confused sheep. I heard and read about many people who have spoken about inner freedom, and I want this for myself.” These are higher attitudes about our lives here on Earth. The Universe invites and then waits for the few to make a move towards it. It’s your move.

  1. Going against my fears is the way out, for they are all hoaxes that keep me tethered to an unhappy existence. The more you go against them, the easier it gets. Wouldn’t it be nice to get to a point where you laugh at those fears?

    • This got me thinking about all those fears I had to pass through to expose them as the hoaxes they are. Public speaking was a huge one. What I discovered was that if I had or believed I had a separate self to protect, I was very nervous to get up before strangers. Vernon Howard said one day, to get up and say something I knew was true from myself, and this changed everything. The hoaxes of fear were exposed. Fear is a crafty, sly liar, and I should have nothing to do with it. Your real true self never gets nervous or fearful. Only wrong parts that want to impress oneself and or others. Catching yourself being nervous, and then tracking it back to a useless thought of wanting to be someone impressive, snaps the spell and wakes you up to drop the need to be someone. “You don’t have to be someone.” -VH. Thanks, Vernon!
