Realizing it’s Time to move

This is a New Year and so it’s time for a New You. It’s a great day when you decide to move away from your familiar self. Your whole day should be a learning experience, not a burning experience. We often get caught daily in reacting in a manner that cause us regrets and enormous feelings of guilt. We painfully endure these terrorizing feelings and sometimes pretend that they are not there. This is a huge mistake, we try to push our feelings away and/or run from them to any escape close at hand, food, entertainment, TV, whatever.

Here’s the one thing we haven’t done. Face our reactions squarely. When we decide to learn from our reactions (both what we call positive or negative ) this whole process of reacting in our life takes on a new light. Words can’t describe it, so you must do it to understand your real reward. You must see what is really happening and not what your thoughts say is happening, They will lie to you for a long time. In short you must get ruthlessly honest with yourself. Anyone whom will learn instead of burn will start to have a new fun life and understand what life is all about. It’s time to move from burning to learning.

It doesn’t make sense to endure psychological suffering when we can study it out of existence. Facing it squarely will invite the light to snatch it up and carry it away.:)

A great exercise to help you take your life back is to not react in kind. If someone snaps at you, you simply don’t snap back. Your mind will say “You must stand up for your rights- Let them have it!” but snapping at anyone is self-harming and makes you feel bad inside after that quick thrill of the snap back. If you don’t snap back you save your energies for climbing up even higher and when you climb higher your Life improves. Don’t believe or not believe me, but try it for yourself. You will be glad you did.

Following up on the last comment, “if someone snaps at you, you simply don’t snap back.” I know this is going to hurt. Let it totally destroy the old you. How about some real humiliation. Okay, here it is. . . the next time that driver speeds by you and cuts back in front of you, notice it without doing anything about it. Let them win! But, oh yes, you really win when you lose that stupid, dangerous race without one bit of anger. If you really want to move and take your life back, do this. Fail as many times as it takes, but do it until you see you can be free instead of me.

Why should any human give up their low ways? Low ways being loneliness, nastiness, angers, hostilities, blaming & pointing fingers at anyone and everyone for the reasons for their pains & disappointments, etc.
Answer: There is a nicer place to live inside you. Anyone who is sincere can find it. It’s not for free. It will cost you. It will be paid for by giving up your pains & sorrows. Realizing you can do better is the 1st step towards this better life. Better?, one fine day, you will be amazed to look back at your former life and see how you pretended for years to have a nice life when you could really have a “Nice Life.” This really really is a friendly Universe. Happy in your own skin.
