Look in the Right Place for Help

by | Aug 2, 2019 | Excerpts and quotes for attaining the 'Higher Life'

This is an action that we resist because we have been taught since birth that the answers lie outside ourselves. Jiddu Krishnamurti says it very clearly:

“In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself.”

  1. So simple, so potent! I love how the Truth is always pure and rock-solid, no matter from whom it is expressed. In these couple of sentences, Mr Krishnamurti allays all fear that purity and innocence are unobtainable. Any man or woman can and will find what they seek. And again, it is a matter of what an individual is interested in. Use this exercise to Wake Up. Any conscious move invites illumination … What is it I don’t want to do? Above all this acquired personality doesn’t want to move. But move it must as an invitation to the Higher.

  2. Truth contains so much irony. We spend our lives trying to figure out all the answers, but the light of Truth, although it is found within us, doesn’t come from our ‘figuring out’ things. When we let go of all that doing and trust the light, look to the light, our relief is enormous. Each of us has the power to do this. Have we? Will we? Only we can answer for ourselves.
